We’ll Open again on at
Fork & Barrel

Now Available Private Event Space

Our evening hours will be reimagined to introduce a refined private dining and event experience, building on the spirit and hospitality of Fork & Barrel. In lieu of the traditional dinner service previously offered at Fork & Barrel, the space will now serve as an intimate setting for celebrations, corporate dinners, and curated culinary events, offering the same elevated atmosphere and attention to detail guests have come to expect. This thoughtful transition allows the team to continue creating memorable dining moments, now in a more personalized and exclusive format.

“Emily and I are excited to share this next chapter for our restaurants and our family,” said Chef Geoffrey Heyde, Owner and Executive Chef. “By focusing fully on brunch and reimagining our dinner space as a private event venue, we’re able to dedicate more time to both our growing business and growing family. We look forward to continuing to welcome our guests, whether it’s for a weekday brunch, a weekend celebration, or a special event in the evening.”

Our sister brand, Morning Fork, is excited to announce beginning Tuesday, July 1st, the restaurant will expand its beloved brunch service to seven days a week, offering guests even more opportunities to enjoy their favorite daytime dishes. Originally opening in December of 2020, Morning Fork has quickly gained popularity as a unique and thriving brunch spot for both locals and tourists alike.he

Morning Fork is located at 1722 Frankfort Ave, Louisville, Kentucky 40206. Beginning July 1st, their hours will be 7am-3pm, 7 days a week. For more information on private dining availability and capacity, please email us at emily@bethefork.com.

About Us

It’s A Pleasure to Meet You

Geoffrey and Emily Heyde started Fork & Barrel with one goal in mind: giving people as much southern hospitality and charm as one restaurant can hold.

Geoffrey Heyde serves his guests as Executive Chef and Proprietor of Fork & Barrel, his first solo project since graduating from the Culinary Institute of America in 2000 and subsequently working at several Louisville favorites. His vision is fresh and simple: Fork & Barrel prides itself on serving upscale American cuisine with a focus on local ingredients, craft cocktails, and that unmistakable southern hospitality.

Our restaurant is a place where family gathers. When someone walks through our doors, we want them to feel at home no matter if they’ve come for business meeting or a rehearsal dinner. Here you’ll find the comfort of the foods you grew up with… just kicked up a notch and served alongside some of the best drinks in the region. We use good, wholesome ingredients and classic skills to whip up each of our dishes. And while parts of our menus are seasonal so we’re always using the best and freshest local ingredients, we’ll keep your favorites on all year round.
